It’s October, the month of Halloween, and all children are thinking about all the treats they will see in their bags on Halloween night. Downtown Summerlin is the core of activities in Summerlin, the award-winning master-planned community, and has announced the return of the annual Halloween parade, “Parade of Mischief,” presented by Momentum Solar and produced by BESTAgency.
The entertaining and fun family-friendly parade will feature over 30 local youth, and they will fill the streets of Downtown Summerlin with mischievous mayhem every Friday and Saturday night in October. The first night was Saturday, October 7, at 6 p.m. Other parade nights include October 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, and 28. The parade’s location is Park Center Drive, and it is free and open to the public.
This year there is a new alien pod, along with Cruella de Vil and Hocus Pocus witches, a Día de los Muertos float and pod, a fully revamped Addams Family float and pod, and more.
Downtown Summerlin is known for giving the community top-notch, family-friendly parades that mark a variety of annual celebrations, such as the holidays in December; Lunar New Year in February; Lei Day, marking Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May; and of course the Parade of Mischief in October.
The setting of Downtown Summerlin is ideal for parades with its wide, roomy sidewalks and streets that are private and accommodate community celebrations. Many families from southwest Nevada have come to consider Downtown Summerlin their go-to destination to mark holidays. Plus, Downtown Summerlin offers 30-plus restaurants with something for everyone, so you can make it a whole-night experience.
