Summerlin, located on the west side of the Las Vegas Valley, is a great place to live with a dog in tow. When avid cyclist Marc Salvador reaches for his backpack his poodle mix dog knows he is going for a ride for up to 50 miles sometimes.

Walking through Downtown Summerlin on any given day you will see dozens of residents who enjoy walking their dogs throughout the destination’s active streetscapes and social areas.
At Las Vegas Ballpark in Downtown Summerlin, home of the Triple-A Aviators special “Bark in the Park” nights during select home games occur throughout the season. Dogs are such a part of the Summerlin community the popular Dogs of Downtown Summerlin calendar is about to enter its sixth year. The selection process to have dogs considered for the 2024 calendar will take place from July 26 to Aug. 13. Go to Downtown Summerlin’s social media for details on how to enter your dog for consideration for one of the calendar’s monthly models. The 2024 calendar benefits local animal rescue nonprofits and will go on sale in October.
You will also find many dog parks in the neighborhoods of Summerlin where dogs can mix and mingle and find friends to play with.
