It’s Fall and the air turns crisp after the sun sets in Las Vegas and the leaves hint at a transformation some take on fiery hues, After a hot summer we welcome fall with open arms. It’s a time for cozy gatherings and the artful transformation of our living spaces.
You can display the season’s beauty by showing aspects of the Fall season on your mantel, which is often the focal point of our homes. They are architectural treasures that provide the perfect space for bringing the warmth of autumn inside.
The following are three ideas on how to design for fall. If you do not have a mantle you could use these ideas for your dining table or somewhere in your living or great room.
Muted browns and brass brilliance -This design has an air of sophistication that gives spirit to the room. It is an asymmetrical arrangement that can be designed to fit either on mantels, tables, or shelves offering a sense of balance.
On one side, should show height with stylish candlesticks and a vertical floral arrangement, on the other side flowers gracefully cascade over the edge. The overall design is an organic, earthy essence that we see at this time of year.
Inspired symmetry- This design can make a focal point for the room. Find an eye-catching Moroccan tile-inspired mirror. Symmetry is the theme with two carefully assembled arrangements flanking the mirror. This allows the bold beauty of the arrangement to shine with the mirror, and reflect light throughout the space. Use the colors of autumn with a lot of greens thrown in.
A minimalist fall mantel -This design speaks to the hearts of understated minimalists who like to let their furniture take center stage. Harnessing symmetry with two large and balanced floral bouquets on each side of a gold circular mirror. As you look at the center, three pewter-esque candlesticks gracefully punctuate the display, creating a sense of harmony and balance.
