Virtual Valentine’s Day Ideas For You & Your Long-Distance Partner
Nothing can stop you and your partner from having the most romantic Valentine’s Day. You may live far apart, but you’ve become pros at planning virtual dates, complete with candles, fun games, and flirty looks. These virtual Valentine’s Day ideas will sweeten up your online hangout for the most intimate day of the year.
On Valentine’s Day, you and your partner might usually exchange gifts on your living room floor and eat chocolate while watching a rom-com. You may enjoy a candlelit dinner at your favorite restaurant or whipping up a delicious pasta dinner at home. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to do those activities with your partner in person this year, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Well you can certainly send each other packages filled with a present of course, chocolates, maybe an outfit for the other to wear, and whatever your imagination can dream up. Have a florist send your partner flowers.
You should try to pre- set times to watch a romantic movie together virtually and then also a time to eat together. Have a restaurant deliver the same meal to both of you at the same time. You probably should order this in advance to be assured the delivery will be on time. Both of you can still have a romantic meal virtually, make sure to put some candles on your individual tables and quote to each other your favorite lines from a song.
Valentine’s Day Idea If You Are Together
If you and your partner are isolating together Valentine’s Day can be a lot of fun. You can start off with a delightful breakfast-in-bed. Put a tray together for your partner — and don’t forget to include as many heart-shaped food items as possible. It’s a simple way to say “I love you” before your partner even takes a sip of their coffee.
Plan a movie marathon. With all the streaming services you can either find new movies to watch or find some movies you both liked.. Instead of planning a ton of activities, just do a day of movies. — and lots and lots of snacks.
If you like to cook -great make your special someone a delicious meal of their favorite food. If you don’t cook call one of the many food delivery places and order it – however I would do this a couple of day in advance since they might be swamped with orders. Make sure you cozy up the dining area with candles and flowers and a good bottle of wine.
And lastly, make sure the bedroom looks extra romantic when it’s time to retire.
Make Valentine’s Day Special For Kids
Let’s face it! This year has been very hard on our children. So this Valentine’s Day we should include them in the festivities.
Write then Valentine’s Day letters. Tell them all the things you love about them. Give each child a specific compliment just for them that makes them feel special. If you have more than one child, have your kids write valentines to each other.
Make a Special Breakfast. Hopefully all your kids have one special breakfast that they all love. You can make them pancakes or something else they don’t have every day. Set the table the night before, after the kids go to bed so when they wake up they know something special is going on for breakfast.
Have everyone, including you and your partner, wear the same (or very similar outfit) all day. Then you all can play games foe a while and watch some fun movies.
Make it a pizza night for dinner. The kids will love it and hopefully go to sleep so you and your partner can have some quality time for the two of you.
