In the last year and a half, the state of the economy has been on everyone’s mind. There is encouraging news in Las Vegas if you are looking for a job.
New jobs are being created in the Las Vegas Valley as more diversified industries are moving into the area. Job growth in Las Vegas has rebounded considerably since the pandemic, is now seeing different kinds of industries moving to the valley. We have more tech companies having a presence here along with homebuilders that build more affordable housing and several other types of industry coming soon.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows 209,000 jobs were added in June. That is slightly lower than what some expected. Meanwhile, payroll company ADP reports 497,000 jobs were added last month, and that is much higher than expected.
One man says moving his business from New York to Las Vegas was a gamble that paid off. Paolo Tiramani is the CEO of Boxabl. The company makes small homes that can be packaged up and sent around the world.
Tiramani stated that they are a two-year-old business, and have built 200 homes. The company is building two homes a day and will be down to more homes a day by the end of the year.
Nevada has been working to attract new businesses to diversify our economy beyond the tourism and hospitality industries for years and it seems to be paying off now and we will see even more in the near future.
Southern Nevada has grown in the logistics industries with the proximity to California, now the focus is shifting and more industry is moving to Nevada.
